Michael A. White

Michael A. White was elected to the Council’s board of directors in May 2012. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Penn State University and a Juris Doctor from Temple University School of Law. Prior to establishing his private law practice in 1975, White served on Saipan as a Peace Corps Volunteer and as staff attorney for the Congress of Micronesia. He is admitted to the bars of several courts including the Supreme Court of the United States, U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, and the Supreme and Superior Courts of the CNMI, and is a Life Fellow of the American Bar Association. Active in community service, particularly sports, White is president and director of the Northern Marianas International Olympic Committee and Amateur Sports Association, board member of the International University Sports Federation, Oceania Zone, and a member of the Micronesian Games Council and South Pacific Games Council. In recognition of his community service, White was presented the Humanitarian Award by the Saipan Chamber of Commerce in 2003. He is married to the former Rosario T. Camacho.
