Digital Audio Recordings
The Council's newest digital resource collection is made up of audio files. These include oral histories, songs, and past programs that were aired on the Council's Your Humanities Half Hour Radio Program. New audio resources will be added to this section in the comming months.
Carolinian Oral History. This collection contains approximately 24 hours of taped stories, chants, and songs collected on the island of Satawal in 1982. This information, recounted in several dialects of the Carolinian language, relates to oral history dealing with voyages to and settlement in the Northern Mariana Islands. Verbatum transcriptions of each of these tapes are also available under Digital Document Collections page of this website.
